LEGACY FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIPS 10 MAIN CARD PREVIEW

By David Tees on 2/22/2012 9:17 AM

With the UFC going to Japan this coming Saturday, Legacy decided to keep it in the USA for Legacy Fighting championships 10. The Legacy card is one not to be missed as there are two UFC veterans in Gerald Harris and Pat Audinwood competing. Also, there is a plethora of up and coming talent competing on the six fight card being televised on HDNet.

Kicking off the action is a welterweight division contest as Rashon Lewis (2-1-0) squares off with Alex Morono (3-1-0). Rashon Lewis is currently undefeated in Legacy competition, having defeated Ricardo Talavera at Legacy 8. Alex Morono has won two of three in Legacy competition, only making his official Legacy debut a little over a year ago. Kicking off a card with two top rated prospects is the norm for Legacy, but it will be Alex Morono winning in the end.

Another welterweight battle is next as Jonathan “The Hulk” Harris (5-1-0) does battle with Chidi “Chidi Bang Bang” Njokuani (5-3-0). Jonathan Harris has spent the majority of his career in the Legacy promotion, winning four of five there. Chidi Njokuani is the brother of UFC veteran Anthony Njokuani and he will be making his Legacy debut in this fight. It would not be crazy to believe that most of this fight will be on the feet, but it will be Jonathan Harris being victorious in the end.

We drop to the bantamweight division for the next fight as Carson “Little Juggernaut” Beebe (9-1-0) battles Tim Snyder (12-9-0). Carson Beebe enters the fight riding a three fight winning streak, most recently defeating Lloyd Carter at XFO 42. Tim Snyder is currently undefeated in Legacy competition, defeating both Aaron Barringer and Alex Black. This fight is an important one for Carson Beebe and he will be pulling out the victory in this key bantamweight battle.

Lightweights are going to be featured next as Pat “Awesomely Awesome” Audinwood (10-2-0) stands across the cage from Justin Reiswerg (4-1-0). Pat Audinwood has only fought once since getting released from the UFC, defeating Al Laquinta by submission. Justin Reiswerg is currently undefeated in Legacy completion, defeating Reynaldo Trujillo, Marc Ramirez and Kenneth Battle. There is simply too much of an experience edge for Pat Audinwood here, which is why he will earn the victory.

Up next is a welterweight division affair as Mike “The Greek” Bronzoulis (13-4-0) faces Eric “Big Head” Davila (20-11-0). Mike Bronzoulis is coming off of a short run in Strikeforce, where he defeated Chad Leonhardt and suffered a defeat to Todd Moore. Eric Davila is coming off of an impressive four fight winning streak, which includes victories over UFC veterans Pete Spratt and Brock Larson. This is a huge welterweight fight that is not being held in a major MMA promotion, but it will Eric Davilla getting the big victory here.

Headlining this card is a middleweight division fight as Gerald “Hurricane” Harris (19-4-0) takes on DJ “Da Protégé” Linderman (10-2-0). Gerald Harris is coming off of the biggest victory of his career, defeating Kazuhiro Nakamura at DREAM 17. DJ Linderman is coming off of a run in the Bellator promotion, where he made it all the way to the light heavyweight tournament semi-finals. This is a key fight for Gerald Harris if he wants back in the UFC and he will get his opportunity to do so as he achieves victory here.
