After a one week hiatus, Bellator Fighting Championships returns with a great card featuring the current Bellator Lightweight Champion. The preliminary card goes first as usual and this particular one features a pair of undefeated competitors. On a side note, Nordine Taleb is scheduled to fight on the preliminary card, but no opponent has been announced as of this writing.
Kicking off the action is a lightweight division fight as Cosmo “Good Boy†Alexandre (1-1-0) competes against Lorawnt-T “Smash†Nelson (4-0-0). Cosmo Alexandre is coming off the first victory of his career, defeating Avery McPhatter at Bellator 58 by knockout. Lorawnt-T Nelson is an undefeated fighter who has spent the majority of his career in the Fight To Win promotion. Cosmo Alexandre pulled the upset in his last Bellator appearance, but he will not be doing so this time around.
Bantamweight fighters will be featured next as Nick “The Big Hurt†Kirk (7-0-0) battles Davis “Bo†Harris (6-3-0). Nick Kirk is an undefeated fighter who won the first five fights of his MMA career in the Seconds Out MMA promotion. David Harris will be making his Bellator debut in this fight, but he has fought former Bellator Bantamweight Champion Zack Makovsky. This is an interesting battle to check out on the live stream, but it will be Nick Kirk staying undefeated in the end.
Up next is a featherweight division fight as William “Leon†Romero (7-3-0) does battle with Matt Veal (9-7-0). William Romero has split both of his fights in Bellator, defeating Daniel Langbeen and suffering a defeat to Patricio Freire. Matt Veal enters this fight winning three of four, with two of those victories coming in the Savage Entertainment promotion. This fight will easily be the biggest test of William Romero’s career, but it will be a test that the fighter passes.
Headlining this portion of the card is a welterweight division fight as Nathan “Gunner†Gunn (9-2-0) faces Dominic “I Hate You So Much†O’Grady (13-4-0). Nathan Gunn enters the fight riding a two fight winning streak and he has fought UFC veteran Pete Spratt. Dominic O’Grady enters the fight riding a three fight winning streak, with most of his fights coming in the King Of The Cage promotion. Despite having one of the more interesting nicknames, Dominic O’Grady will fall to Nathan Gunn on Friday Night.
