UFC ON FOX III UN-AIRED PRELIMINARY CARD PREVIEW

By David Tees on 5/2/2012 4:04 PM

For the first time in well over a year, the UFC will have advertised battles that will not be part of any broadcast. The last time that this was done was UFC Fights For The Troops II, which was when the UFC aired programs on Spike TV. There are two fights taking place on this portion of the preliminary card, with a key fight in the middleweight division.

Kicking off the action is a middleweight division fight as Mike Massenzio (13-6-0) takes on Karlos “The Terminator” Vemola (8-2-0). Mike Massenzio has won three of seven in UFC competition, most notably defeating Drew McFedries at UFC Ultimate Fight Night 15. Karlos Vemola has rotated wins and losses in UFC action, but this will be his first fight in nearly a full year. This fight is a classic striker versus grappler encounter, but it will be the striker in Karlos Vemola getting the win.

Headlining this portion of the card is a bantamweight division fight as “Stunning” Roland Delorme (7-1-0) faces Nick “The Ninja Of Love” Denis (11-2-0). Roland Delorme is currently undefeated in UFC competition, defeating Josh Ferguson at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale. Nick Denis is also undefeated in UFC competition, having defeated Joseph Sandoval at UFC On FX I. This would have been an interesting battle to check out, but it will be Nick Denis winning it when it’s all said and done.
