After just a week’s break, the UFC returns to the FX card with a rematch of a controversial featherweight tournament semi-final fight. However, before a tournament finalist can be determined, there are a few fights streaming on Facebook. The Facebook portion of the preliminary card features two fights, including a key fight in the welterweight division.
Kicking off the action is a welterweight division fight as Jake “Hitman†Hecht (11-3-0) battles Sean Pierson (11-6-0). Jake Hecht has split both of his fights in the UFC, defeating Rich Attonito and suffering a defeat to TJ Waldburger. Sean Pierson has won one of three in UFC competition, with that lone victory coming over Matthew Riddle at UFC 124. This is a fight between two fighters looking for a much needed victory and it will be Jake Hecht getting that victory.
Headlining this portion of the card is a lightweight division fight as Bernardo “Trekko†Magalhaes (11-2-0) faces Henry Martinez (8-2-0). Bernardo Magalhaes is currently winless in UFC competition, having lost to Tim Means at UFC On Fuel TV I. Henry Martinez is also winless in UFC competition, with his loss coming to Matthew Riddle at UFC 143. This is another fight where two fighters are looking to avoid the pink slip and it will be Bernardo Magalhaes doing so.
