The first of two straight nights of UFC action begins on Friday Night with an event airing on FX that has lightweight title implications. However, before the action kicks off on both Fuel TV and later FX, there are two prelim fights on Facebook. The two fights feature a key welterweight division fight and one fighter competing for the second time in two weeks.
Kicking off the action is a bantamweight division fight as Dustin “The Disciple†Pague (11-5-0) battles Ken Stone (10-3-0). Dustin Pague just fought two weeks ago at UFC On FX III, defeat Jared Papazian by submission in the opening round. Ken Stone has split both of his UFC fights, defeating Donny Walker and suffering a defeat to Scott Jorgensen. Being a late replacement is going to hurt Dustin Pague in this one as Ken Stone gets his second UFC victory.
Headlining this portion of the card is a welterweight division fight Ricardo “Golden Boy†Funch (8-3-0) faces Dan Miller (13-6-0). Ricardo Funch is currently winless in his second UFC run, having lost to Mike Pyle by submission at UFC 142. Dan Miller has lost two straight heading into this fight, with those losses coming to Nate Marquardt and Rousimar Palhares. This fight is essentially a battle to avoid the pink slip and it will be Dan Miller avoiding the pink slip in the end.
