While the UFC will be featured on pay-per-view, Facebook, and FX multiple times this coming weekend…they will only be featured once on Fuel TV. The lone time on Fuel TV this weekend will feature a top contender in the featherweight division and a top welterweight fighter. Also, since the event is in New Jersey, there are several local fighters who will be seeing time in the octagon.
Kicking off the action is a middleweight division fight as Chris Camozzi (16-5-0) is in action against Nick “The Jersey Devil†Catone (9-2-0). Chris Camozzi has split both of his fights in his second UFC run, defeating Dustin Jacoby and suffering a defeat to Francis Carmont. Nick Catone enters the fight riding a two fight winning streak, most notably defeating Constantinos Philippou at UFC 128. This will be an excellent battle to start off the Fuel TV coverage and it will be Nick Catone getting the duke.
Welterweights enter the octagon next as Matt “The Immortal†Brown (14-11-0) competes against Luis “Beicao†Ramos (19-7-0). Matt Brown has won three of his last four entering this fight, last defeating Stephen Thompson at UFC 145. Luis Ramos is currently winless in UFC competition, losing to Erick Silva at UFC 134 by TKO in the opening round. This fight should be nothing short of exciting from bell to bell, but it will be Matt Brown picking up the victory.
A featherweight battle will take place next as Joey “The Raging Warrior†Gambino (9-0-0) does battle with “Super†Steven Siler (20-9-0). Joey Gambino will be making his UFC debut in this fight, but he does hold a victory over Bellator veteran Kenny Foster. Steven Siler is currently undefeated in UFC competition, having defeated both Josh Clopton and Cole Miller. Steven Siler is a featherweight on the rise and he will be ending the undefeated streak of his opponent in this one.
Another welterweight division fight is up next as Brock “The Machine†Jardine (9-1-0) battles Rick “The Horror†Story (13-5-0). Brock Jardine enters the fight riding a three fight winning streak, which includes a victory over WEC veteran Blas Avena. Rick story enters the fight riding a two fight losing streak, with his last victory coming over Thiago Alves at UFC 130. This is a must win fight for Rick Story and he will be getting that victory to keep his job safe for the moment.
Up next is a lightweight division fight as CJ Keith (8-0-0) has agreed to do battle against Ramsey Nijem (5-2-0). CJ Keith will be making his UFC debut in this fight after a six fight run in The Warriors Cage promotion. Ramsey Nijem recently achieved his first victory in the UFC, defeating Daniel Downes by decision at UFC 137. This is going to be a fight worth checking out, but it will be CJ Keith keeping his undefeated streak alive.
Headlining this portion of the card is a featherweight division fight as Hatsu Hioki (26-4-0) faces Ricardo “The Bully†Lamas (11-2-0). Hatsu Hioki is currently undefeated in UFC competition, with victories over George Roop and Bart Palaszewski. Ricardo Lamas is also currently undefeated in the UFC, defeating the duo of Matt Grice and Cub Swanson. This is essentially a title eliminator in the division, but it will be Hatsu Hioki earning a title shot in the end.
