The lone MMA event this weekend is from the Resurrection Fighting Alliance, featuring a host of UFC and Strikeforce veterans. The entire event, which features ten fights in total, will be streaming live and for free at RFAfighting.com. The first portion of the card being previewed today features a host of mixed martial arts top young fighters.
Kicking off the action is a heavyweight division fight as Anthony Alirez (2-1-0) does battle with Carl Postma (0-0-0). Anthony Alirez will be looking to rebound from his first pro MMA loss, which came to Guido Carl at Instinct MMA II. Carl Postma will be making his professional MMA debut in this fight, but he did go undefeated as an amateur. These are two young fighters looking to make a quick impact In MMA and it will be Anthony Alirez getting the duke in this one.
We move to the lightweight division for the next fight as Jeremy “The Broker†Mier (0-0-0) competes against TJ Hepburn (0-0-0). Jeremy Mier will be making his professional MMA debut in this fight, only winning one of seven as an amateur. TJ Hepburn will also be making his professional MMA debut in this fight, but he did go undefeated as an amateur. It is always interesting to watch fighters make their pro debuts, but it will be TJ Hepburn getting the victory here.
Flyweights step into the cage next as Matt Manzanares (3-0-0) stands across the cage from Aaron “The Cyborg†Ely (3-1-0). Matt Manzanares is an undefeated fighter who achieved two of his three victories in the fights opening round. Aaron Ely has experience competing in the Bellator Fighting Championships, where he defeated Owen Evinger at Bellator 56. These are two fighters looking to keep their momentum going and it will be Matt Manzanares doing that in the end.
Up next is a featherweight division fight as Nick “Lightning†Macias (5-2-0) battles Sean “P-Town†Wilson (32-17-0). Nick Macias has won four of five heading into this fight, with that loss coming to UFC veteran Tyler Toner. Sean Wilson is a well-traveled MMA veteran that has fought top MMA veterans like Clay French and James Krause. This is essentially a youth versus experience fight here and it will be the experience in Sean Wilson getting the win.
Lightweight fighters are featured next as Jordan “All Day†Rinaldi (5-0-0) has signed to fight Mark Dickman (5-0-0). Jordan Rinaldi is an undefeated fighter who even holds a victory over UFC veteran Dennis Bermudez. Mark Dickman competed in the inaugural Resurrection Fighting Alliance show, defeating Ted Worthington. This is an excellent battle of the undefeated here, but it will be Jordan Rinaldi staying undefeated when it’s all said and done.
