There are four big MMA events this weekend features the UFC, Invicta FC and the MMA debut of former WWE Champion Batista. However, the weekend of action kicks off with the Bellator Fighting Championships, with the heavyweight tournament quarterfinals taking place. The Bellator 75 Preliminary Card will again stream live on Spike.com with a WEC veteran in action.
Kicking off the action is a lightweight division fight as Cliff Wright (6-3-0) competes against Bobby “The Believer†Reardanz (8-11-0). Cliff Wright is currently winless in Bellator competition, having suffered a defeat to Josh Quayhagen at Bellator 69. Bobby Reardanz has won two of his last three, with his victories coming over Steven Baker and Dennis Dombrow. Bobby Reardanz does not have much of a chance to rebuild his pro career, but Cliff Wright will keep moving in the right direction with a victory here.
Light heavyweights will enter the cage next as Jose Medina (1-0-0) is in action against Anthony Gomez (5-2-0). Jose Medina made his professional MMA debut over seven years ago, defeating Chester Post at Total Fight Challenge 4. Anthony Gomez is currently winless in Bellator competition, suffering a defeat to Travis Wiuff at Bellator 60. This fight is a huge test for the undefeated Jose Medina and he will fail as Anthony Gomez returns to the win column.
We move to the middleweight division for the next fight as Jason “Reaper†Graves (2-3-0) battles Rafal Skibinski (4-1-0). Jason Graves enters the fight riding a three fight losing streak, with one of those losses coming to UFC veteran Dan Stittgen. Rafal Skibinski already holds a victory over Jason Graves, which took place at Xtreme Fighting Organization 43. Not much has changed since their first meeting in April 2012 and Rafal Skibinski will get the victory again in the rematch.
Up next is a welterweight division fight as Brandon Delprado (5-1-0) takes on Joe “Mongo†Williams (6-1-0). Brandon Delprado will be looking to rebound from his first career loss, which came to Daniel Vizcaya in April 2012. Joe Williams will also be looking to rebound from his first career loss, which came to Andy Uhrich at Bellator 73. This will be the fight to check out in the prelims and it will be Joe Williams getting the rebound victory in this one.
Headlining this portion of the card is a bantamweight division fight as David “Bo†Harris (7-3-1) faces Chase “The Rage†Beebe (21-8-1). David Harris is currently undefeated in Bellator competition, having defeated Nick Kirk at Bellator 67 in May. Chase Beebe has won eight of his last ten fights, with one of those losses coming to Bellator Bantamweight Tournament winner Marcos Galvao. David Harris is a fighter on the rise, but Chase Beebe is light years ahead and he will score a victory on Friday Night.
