It is really odd to say that a UFC event is sandwiched between several other MMA events, but that is what is taking place this weekend. However, this events preliminary card that is airing on Facebook is probably the best one that has ever aired on the social media site. That is because we get a pretty important fight in the welterweight division, plus a longtime MMA veteran competes.
Kicking off the action is a welterweight division fight as Mike Pierce (14-5-0) faces Aaron “A-Train†Simpson (12-3-0). Mike Pierce has rotated wins and losses in his last fight UFC fights, with his last fight being a victory over Carlos Eduardo Rocha. Aaron Simpson is currently undefeated as a welterweight in the UFC, defeating Kenny Robertson as UFC On Fuel TV IV. This should be a ground battle for the majority of the fight, but the superior wrestler in Aaron Simpson will get the victory.
Headlining this portion of the card is a lightweight division fight as Marcus “The Prospect†LeVesseur (21-6-0) battles Carlo “Neo†Prater (30-11-0). Marcus LeVesseur is currently winless in UFC competition, losing to Cody McKenzie at UFC On Fuel TV III. Carlo Prater has split both of his UFC appearances, defeating Erick Silva and suffering a defeat to TJ Grant. This is a must win fight for both competitors in this one, but it will be Carlo Prater picking up the much needed victory.
