The Score Fighting Series will be making its debut on AXS TV this coming Friday Night opposite of a Bellator Fighting Championships event. The main card will be headlined by a WEC/Bellator veteran in Chris Horodecki, while a UFC veteran is in the co-main event. The preliminary card, which will be un-aired, features a host of good up and coming MMA fighters in action.
Kicking off the action is a welterweight division fight as Scott Hudson (0-1-0) sees action against Kyle “The Postman†Post (0-0-0). Scott Hudson made his professional MMA debut this past September, suffering a defeat to Dwayne Hinds by knockout. Kyle Post will be making his professional MMA debut in this fight, but he did compete many times as an amateur. Scott Hudson may have more professional MMA fights under his belt, but he will still fall to Kyle Post on Friday Night.
Lightweights will be hitting the cage next as Kyle “The Monster†Nelson (1-0-0) does battle with Jo Pehtagoose (0-0-0). Kyle Nelson made his professional MMA debut this past March, defeating Michael Dufort by unanimous decision. Jo Pehtagoose will be making his professional MMA debut in this fight, but he does have experience as an amateur fighter. Kyle Nelson did a great job in his first professional fight and he will be doing the same in his sophomore effort.
A pair of welterweights will be battling next as Brett Bierderman (1-3-0) competes against Josh Taveirne (2-3-0). Brett Bierderman may have a subpar record in his professional MMA career, but he did compete against UFC veteran Daron Cruickshank. Josh Taveirne enters the fight riding a three fight losing streak and he has not achieved victory in well over a year. These are two fighters who are in need of a victory and it will be Brett Bierderman getting that much needed win.
Bantamweight fighters will be highlighted next as Malcolm “X†Gordon (0-0-0) will battle Tyler Kirk (0-0-0). Malcolm Gordon will be making his professional MMA debut in this fight, but he did split both of his fights as an amateur. Tyler Kirk will also be making his professional MMA debut in this fight, but he also competed several times as an amateur. This is truly a pick ‘em if there ever was one on this card, but it will be Malcolm Gordon picking up his first professional victory.
Up next is a lightweight division fight as Joel Paquette (0-1-0) stands across the cage from Allan Wilson (1-0-0). Joel Paquette is currently winless in his professional MMA career, suffering a defeat to Jason Meisel in December 2011. Allan Wilson is currently undefeated thus far in his professional career, defeating Derek MacDonald at a Discipline MMA event. Allan Wilson looked good in his first professional fight and he will keep that streak alive this coming Friday Night.
Headlining this portion of the card is a lightweight division fight as Eric “Atomic†Attard (4-3-0) faces Jason Meisel (3-1-0). Eric Attard is currently winless in the Score Fighting series, losing to Jason Saggo at Score Fighting Series 5. Jason Meisel has spent his entire career in the Score Fighting Series, but is coming off of his first career defeat. The winner of this fight should move up to televised fights on future cards and it will be Jason Meisel doing so.
