RESURRECTION FIGHTING ALLIANCE IV PRELIMINARY CARD PREVIEW

By David Tees on 10/31/2012 5:05 PM

After the acquisition of the Titan Fighting Championships, the Resurrection Fighting Alliance makes its highly anticipated debut on AXS TV. The promotion will make their AXS TV debut with a loaded card featuring a bunch of UFC veterans and other top fighters. The un-aired preliminary card takes place first, which will feature four fights with a lot of good up and coming talent.

Kicking off the action is a lightweight division fight as Joey Angelo (0-0-0) does battle with Jordan Isordia (1-1-0). Joey Angelo will be making his professional MMA debut in this fight, but he did win half of his fights as an amateur. Jordan Isordia will be looking to rebound from his first professional MMA defeat, which came at the hands of Trace Gray. Neither fighter has had an good start to their career as a pro or an amateur, but it will be Joey Angelo making a successful professional MMA debut.

Bantamweights will step into the cage next as Cory Galloway (0-1-0) takes on Jerry “J-Shap” Shapiro (0-0-0). Cory Galloway has been winless thus far as a professional fighter, having lost to Jake Nauracy at Bellator 60. Jerry Shapiro will be making his professional MMA debut in this fight, but he did go undefeated as an amateur. Jerry Shapiro has looked sharp thus far as an amateur fighter and he will continue to look sharp in his professional MMA debut.

Up next is a heavyweight division fight as Steve Mocco (0-0-0) stands across the cage from Tyler Perry (1-0-0). Steve Mocco will be making his professional MMA debut in this fight, but he does have the accolade of being an NCAA Wrestling Champion. Tyler Perry made his professional MMA debut at Resurrection Fighting Alliance II, defeating Wayman Carter by submission. Steve Mocco was a top rated NCAA Wrestling Champion for a reason and he will show why with a victory in his pro debut.

Headlining this portion of the card is a bantamweight division fight as Chris Holdsworth (3-0-0) faces Tyler Shinn (3-0-0). Chris Holdsworth is an undefeated fighter who holds a victory over respected MMA veteran Randy Villareal. Tyler Shinn is also an undefeated fighter who has spent the majority of his career in the C3 Fights promotion. This is an excellent way to cap off the preliminary card and it will be Chris Holdsworth remaining undefeated in the end.
