LEGACY FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIPS 15 PRELIMINARY CARD PREVIEW

By David Tees on 11/11/2012 5:39 PM

This weekend is all about the return of UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre as he returns after injury to headline UFC 154. However, both the Legacy Fighting championships and Bellator will be looking to grab some of that spotlight. The main card of Legacy Fighting Championships will be headlined by Robert Drysdale, while the preliminary card features a longtime Legacy FC veteran.

Kicking off the action is a lightweight division fight as Eric Garcia (0-0-0) does battle with Mark “Kan’t Get Right” Garcia (1-5-0). Eric Garcia will be making his professional MMA debut in this fight, but he did go undefeated as an amateur. Mark Garcia enters the fight riding a three fight losing streak and he has not achieved victory in well over a year. Eric Garcia, despite making his pro debut, is a far better fighter than Mark Garcia and he will show why with a victory on Friday Night.

Welterweights will step into the cage next as Kaileb Cummins (1-0-0) stands across the cage from Levi West (0-1-0). Kaileb Cummins made his professional MMA debut this past September, defeating Patrick Greene by submission. Levi West made his professional MMA debut this past Summer, suffering a submission defeat to Jeremy Morris. Kaileb Cummins strengths are exactly what the weaknesses are for Levi West, so it will be Kaileb Cummins remaining undefeated in the end.

A pair of bantamweight fighters will battle next as Gerzan Chaw (1-2-0) competes against Colin Wright (0-0-0). Gerzan Chaw enters the fight riding a two fight losing streak and has not gained a victory in over two years. Colin Wright will be making his professional MMA debut in this fight, but he did go undefeated as an amateur. Gerzan Chaw has not gotten a victory in two years for a reason and it will show why as Colin Wright has a successful professional MMA debut.

Another bantamweight division fight is up next as Daniel Delgado (0-0-0) takes on Domingo “El Nino” Pilarte (2-0-0). Daniel Delgado will be making his professional MMA debut in this fight, but he did go winless as an amateur. While Domingo Pilarte is currently undefeated in his career, this will be his first MMA fight in over two years. This is a bad decision to turn pro for Daniel Delgado and it will be proven on Friday Night as Domingo Pilarte gets the duke in this one.

Up next is a flyweight division fight as Ryan “Riptide” Hollis (1-1-0) has signed on to fight Will Spidle (0-0-0). Ryan Hollis is looking to build off of his first professional MMA victory, which came over Matthew Thompson as a Big Dawg Productions event. Will Spidle will be making his professional MMA debut in this fight, having only won once as an amateur. Ryan Hollis will make a repeat performance of his first professional MMA victory with another victory in his second fight.

Headlining this portion of the card is a welterweight division fight as Mike “The Greek” Bronzoulis (14-5-0) faces Shawn Machado (0-2-0). Mike Bronzoulis has only won one of his last three fights, with that lone victory coming over Danny Salinas. Shawn Machado is currently winless in his professional MMA career, he was also winless as an amateur. This could be one of the biggest mismatches in professional MMA history and it will be Mike Bronzoulis gaining an easy victory.
