This coming weekend may be the most historical for the Ultimate Fighting Championships in a long time with the first ever female fight in UFC history. The card is loaded beyond just the pay-per-view offering, with plenty of great preliminary card fights as well. Even the Facebook portion of the card is loaded with three fights, including the debut of two Strikeforce veterans.
Kicking off the action is a welterweight division fight as Nah-Shon “The Rock-N-Rolla†Burrell (8-2-0) battles Yuri Villefort (6-1-0). Burrell is coming to the UFC after a four fight run in Strikeforce, where he won three of those four in the promotion. Villefort is also coming over from the Strikeforce promotion, but he lost in his lone appearance for the promotion. This is a win and in, lose and out situation for both competitors, but it will be Burrell keeping a spot in the UFC.
Up next is another welterweight division fight as Neil Magny (7-1-0) stands across the cage from Jon Manley (7-1-0). Magny will be making his UFC debut in this fight, but did have a successful run in the Combat USA promotion. Manley enters the fight riding a two fight winning streak, but this fight will be the UFC debut for this fighter as well. These are two fighters who have begun their MMA career in excellent fashion, but it will be Magny have a successful UFC debut.
Headlining this card is a welterweight division fight as Brock “The Machine†Jardine (9-2-0) faces Kenny Robertson (11-2-0). Jardine is currently winless in UFC competition, dropping a fight to Rick Story via decision at UFC On FX IV. Robertson is currently winless in UFC competition as well, with his defeats coming to Aaron Simpson and Mike Pierce. The loser of this fight may be receiving the dreaded pink slip, but it will be Robertson getting the win and avoiding the pink slip.
