The UFC will be returning to Japan with another very loaded card, this time it will be headlined by the legendary Wanderlei Silva. There is a lot of preliminary card fights airing on Facebook as well, with plenty of talent from the Far East competing. Also, there are two key fights on the preliminary card, one happening in the bantamweight division and one in the middleweight division.
Kicking off the action is a welterweight division fight as Marcelo “Magrao†Guimaraes (8-0-1) competes against Hyun Gyu “The Ace†Lim (10-3-1). Guimaraes is currently undefeated in UFC competition, having defeated Dan Stittgen at UFC On Fuel TV IV. Lim will enter the fight riding a four fight winning streak, with four of the victories coming in the Pacific Xtreme Combat promotion. Guimaraes looked good in his UFC debut against Stittgen and he will look good on his sophomore UFC run as he defeats Lim.
Bantamweights will hit the cage next as Alex “Bruce Leroy†Caceres (8-5-0) does battle against Kyung Ho Kang (11-6-0). Caceres has won three of his last four under the UFC banner, most notably defeating Damacio Page at UFC On Fuel TV IV. Kang enters the fight on the strength of a three fight winning streak, last defeating Andrew Leone at Road FC VIII. Caceres has been coming into form as of late and he will continue to impress as he pulls out the victory over Kang.
A pair of lightweights will be competing next as Cristiano Marcello (13-4-0) takes on Kazuki Tokudome (11-3-1). Marcello has split both of his UFC fights, defeating Reza Madadi and having suffered a defeat to Sam Sicilia. Tokudome enters the fight riding a two fight winning streak and has fought the majority of his career in the Pancrase promotion. Marcello has yet to really impress in his UFC run and Tokudome will capitalize on that to pull the upset.
Up next is a bantamweight division fight as Bryan “Kid Lightning†Caraway (17-5-0) battles Takeya Mizugaki (16-7-2). Caraway is currently undefeated in UFC competition, defeating both Dustin Neace and Mitch Gagnon. Mizugaki has rotated wins and losses throughout his UFC career, with his last fight being a victory over Jeff Hougland. Caraway is quickly becoming the next big contender in the bantamweight division and he will show why by defeating Mizugaki on Saturday Night.
Headlining this card is a middleweight division fight as Riki Fukuda (19-6-0) stands across the cage from Brad Tavares (9-1-0). Fukuda has rotated wins and losses throughout his UFC career, with his last fight being a victory over Tom DeBlass. Tavares has won four of five in UFC competition, most notably defeating Phil Baroni back at UFC 125. Tavares has been looking unstoppable thus far in the UFC and he will out strike Fukuda to get the big victory.
