The highly touted Legacy Fighting Championships returns to action this Friday Night with a card being headlined by a flyweight title bout. Sadly, unlike a lot of other promotions, the preliminary card will not be shown online or on television in anyway. The five fight preliminary card is still worth taking a look at, with a lot of top up and coming talents looking to make an impact.
Kicking off the event is a heavyweight division bout as James Hall (4-7-0) competes against Vernon Lewis (1-2-0). Hall has only won one of his last five bouts, with that lone victory coming over Andrew Garza at an Element Fighting Championships event. Lewis will be looking to build on the momentum of his first professional MMA victory, which came over Javier Rendon at a Triple A Promotions event. These are two fighters who have a lot to do in order to resurrect their MMA careers, but it will be Hall winning on this night.
Middleweights will be stepping into the cage next as Abdullah “Bull†Lawal (0-0-0) does battle against Jabari Abduhl-Shakur (1-2-0). Lawal will be making his professional MMA debut in this bout, but he is the brother of Bellator veteran King Mo. Abduhl-Shakar has not competed since an October 2012 Xtreme Knockout event, where he lost to Ciprian Hangan. Lawal will hopefully fare better than his brother did against Emanuel Newton, but he will be making a successful pro MMA debut.
Another middleweight division fight is up next as Angelus McFarlane (0-0-0) is in action against Evan Thompson (1-0-0). McFarlane will be making his professional MMA debut in this fight, but he did go undefeated as an amateur. Thompson made his professional MMA debut at Legacy FC 16, where he defeated Bobby Moore at the event. Thompson looked spectacular in his professional debut and he will keep that momentum going with a victory on Friday Night.
Up next is a lightweight division fight as David Armas (4-6-0) stands across the cage from Brad Mitchell (2-1-0-1NC). Armas has only won one of five in Legacy FC competition, with that lone victory coming over Quaint Kempf at Legacy FC 13. Mitchell will be looking to rebound from his first professional MMA defeat, which came to Donnie Bell at Xtreme Knockout 16. Mitchell will be facing the most experienced fighter he has faced thus far in his career, but he will still pick up the victory.
Headlining this portion of the card is a welterweight division fight as Sean Holden (2-0-0) battles Armando Servin (3-1-0). Holden is currently undefeated as a professional MMA fighter, last defeating Lior Shporen at Legacy FC 13. Servin enters the fight riding a three fight winning streak, with two victories coming in the Xtreme Knockout promotion. This is a great battle to close out the preliminary card and it will be Holden remaining undefeated in the end.
