This coming Saturday will feature two big MMA events, with one coming from the UFC and the other coming from Cage Warriors. The Cage Warriors event will be headlined by a clash for the vacant featherweight title and a key women’s fight. The preliminary card, although light in fights, features several fighters looking to make an impact on the MMA scene.
Kicking off the action is a flyweight division bout as Mark Connor (7-8-1) takes on “GI†Joe Laurence (3-3-0). Connor is currently undefeated in Cage Warriors competition, having defeated Andy Young at Cage Warriors 50. Lawrence has only won one of his last three bouts and has spent his entire career, up until this point, in the Shock N’ Awe promotion. These are two fighters who are in desperate need of a victory right now and it will be Connor getting his third straight win.
Headlining this portion of the card is a featherweight division bout as Rich “The Postman†Edgeworth (4-6-0) faces Jean “The Show†N’Doye (5-1-0). Edgeworth has only won one of his last four fights, with that lone victory coming over Josh Boal at Cage Contender 16. N’Doye will be looking to rebound from his first professional MMA defeat, which came to Liam James at Cage Warriors Fight Night 5. Despite the recent defeat, N’Doye is far superior that Edgeworth and he will get back on track this Saturday.
