The highly touted Xtreme Fighting Championships returns to AXS TV this coming Friday Night with a great card. Headlining this event will be a battle between UFC and Bellator veterans as Shamar Bailey faces Luis Santos. Also, there is a good fight featuring the women of the XFC and plenty of other great fighters to keep an eye on.
Kicking off the action is a featherweight division fight as Charles Stanford (0-0-0) competes against Bruce “BJ†Ferguson (8-3-0). Stanford will be making his professional MMA debut in this fight, but did win two of three as an amateur. Ferguson has won four of his last five fights and has spent some time in the Hardrock MMA promotion. This is an outrageously bad fight for Stanford to make his debut in as it will be Ferguson spoiling the fighter’s moment.
Middleweights will be in action next as John Troyer (14-8-0-1NC) does battle against Julio Gallegos (4-3-0). Troyer has won two of his last three bouts, with that lone loss coming to UFC veteran Xavier Foupa-Pokam. Gallegos enters the fight riding a three fight losing streak and has not earned a victory in well over three years. Troyer is on a far better run right now in his career and that run will continue as he hands Gallegos his fourth straight loss.
A pair of bantamweights are in action next as Eric Moell (3-0-0) stands across the cage from Joey “The Real†Diehl (3-4-0). Moell is currently undefeated in his professional MMA career, finishing all of his opponents in the first round. Diehl will enter the fight riding a two fight losing streak and has primarily competing in the Xtreme Fighting Organization. Moell has been looking dominant thus far in his MMA career and he will remain undefeated on Friday Night.
We move to the women’s strawweight division for the next bout as Brianna “The Bull†Van Buren (1-0-0) battles Stephanie “Snowflake†Eggink (2-1-0). Van Buren made her professional MMA debut at Rogue Fights 20, defeating Charlene Gellner by knockout. Eggink is coming off of the biggest victory of her career, which was a victory over Bellator veteran Heather Clark. These are two women who are at the early stages of promising MMA careers, but will be Eggink ending her foes undefeated streak.
Up next is a lightweight division fight as Zach Underwood (10-4-0) takes on Deivison “Deivison Dragon†Ribeiro (23-9-0). Underwood enters the fight riding a two fight winning streak, recently defeating Chris Coggins at Bellator 73. Ribeiro has won four of his last five bouts, but is coming off of a loss to UFC veteran Dakota Cochrane. This is a pretty good fight that is not taking place in the UFC and/or Bellator, but it will be Ribeiro notching the victory.
Headlining this card is a welterweight division fight as Shamar Bailey (15-8-0) faces Luis “Sapo†Santos (54-9-1). Bailey enters the fight riding a two fight winning streak, last defeating UFC veteran Gideon Ray at a Flawless FC MMA event. Santos will enter the fight riding a two fight losing streak, with his losses coming to both Ben Saunders and Ryan Ford. This is a battle to see who can remain relevant in the MMA world and it will be Bailey picking up his third straight win.
