The One FC promotion is returning to action this weekend with an online pay-per-view with two championships on the line. The preliminary card for this event is pretty stacked, considering there are only three fights scheduled. In fact, one of the fights will feature a former UFC Heavyweight Champion in Tim Sylvia as he will fight Tony Johnson.
Kicking off the action is a bantamweight division fight as Ryan “The Lion†Diaz (13-13-0) battles Yusup “Maestro†Saadulaev (9-3-1). Diaz will be returning to action after a near three year layoff from active competition and he also will be riding a two fight losing streak. Saadulaev has only won one of his last four bouts, with that lone victory coming over Hideo Tokoro at DREAM: Fight For Japan ’11. These are two fighters who are in desperate need of a victory and it will be Saadulaev getting that victory.
Up next is a heavyweight division fight as Tony Johnson (6-1-0) takes on Tim “The Maine-iac†Sylvia (31-8-0-1NC). Johnson will be returning to action after a two year layoff, but he is coming off of a victory over current Legacy FC Heavyweight Champion Derrick Lewis. Sylvia is a former UFC Heavyweight Champion and it coming off of a loss to Satoshi Ishii at IGF Inoki Bom-Ba-Ye ’12. This is a huge opportunity for Johnson, but it will be Sylvia making sure that that opportunity is a failure.
Headlining this portion of the card is a lightweight division fight as Felipe Enomoto (6-5-0-1NC) faces Lowen Tynanes (4-0-0). Enomoto has only won one of his last five bouts, with that lone victory coming over Ole Laursen at One FC II. Tynanes is currently undefeated as a professional MMA fighter, with only one of his four fights going to a decision. Tynanes has been pretty dominant thus far in his professional MMA career and he will keep his undefeated streak alive in this one.
