The United Kingdom’s premier mixed martial arts promotion returns to action this weekend with two title fights on the card. The Facebook portion of the preliminary card took a little hit this week when one of the fights got moved up to the main card. Either way, there are still four fighters on this portion of the preliminary card that are looking to make an impact.
Kicking off the action is a featherweight division fight as Stephen Coll (4-3-0) battles Liam “Bad Intentions†James (6-5-0). Coll will enter the fight riding a two fight losing streak, with one of those losses coming to UFC veteran Norman Parke. James has only won one of three under the Cage Warriors banner, with that lone victory coming over Jean N’Doyle at Cage Warriors Fight Night V. These are two fighters who are in a bad need of a victory and it will be Coll picking up that much needed victory.
Headlining this portion of the card is a welterweight division fight as Piotr Ptasinski (4-3-0) faces John Redmond (4-6-0). Ptasinski will enter the fight riding a two fight losing streak and he has not earned a victory in nearly a year. Redmond has only won one of his last six fights, with that lone victory coming over Christopher McDonald at Cage Contenders 16. Redmond is currently on a terrible run right now in his MMA career and Ptasinski will make sure that run continues as he gets the win.
