One of the biggest UFC events of the year is taking place this Saturday Night with UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva defending against Chris Weidman. Like the majority of UFC events these days, there are some fights that will be streaming live on Facebook and/or Youtube. The two fights that are streaming for this event will have some impact on the ultra-tough welterweight division.
Kicking off the action is a welterweight division fight as David “Daudi†Mitchell (12-2-0) battles Mike Pierce (16-5-0). Mitchell has only won one of three in UFC competition, with that lone victory coming over Simeon Thoresen at UFC On Fox VI. Pierce will enter the fight riding a three fight winning streak, with a notable victory over Aaron Simpson at UFC On FX V. It seems insulting that Pierce is on this portion of the card and he will show why as he dominates Mitchell in this one.
Headlining this portion of the card is a welterweight division fight as Seth “The Polish Pistola†Baczynski (18-9-0) faces Brian Melancon (6-2-0). Baczynski has won four of five in his most recent UFC run, but he is coming off of a loss to top welterweight Mike Pierce. Melancon will be making his UFC debut in this fight, but he did win one of two during his run in Strikeforce. Baczynski was on quite a roll before he ran into Mike Pierce, but he will rebound with a victory over Melancon.
