The highly touted Invicta FC promotion is making their debut on pay-per-view this weekend with a loaded card from top to bottom. The promotion will headline their first ever pay-per-view with a rematch between Cristiane Santos and Marloes Coenen. The preliminary card is worth checking out as well, with six fighters looking to make an impact on female MMA’s biggest stage.
Kicking off the action is a strawweight division fight as Cassie “The Hulk†Robb (0-1-0) battles Livia “T-Rex†Von Plettenberg (1-1-0). Robb made her professional MMA debut earlier this year at Invicta FC IV, suffering a submission defeat to Laura Sanko. Von Plettenberg will be looking to rebound from her first career defeat, with came to Joanne Calderwood at Invicta FC IV. Von Plettenberg has fought better competition at this stage of both women’s careers and that experience will keep Robb away from her first win.
Up next is a featherweight division fight as Mollie “Miss Mollie†Estes (1-2-0) takes on Veronica “The Heartbreaker†Rothenhausler (1-0-0). Estes will enter the fight riding a two fight losing streak, with one of those losses coming to Strikeforce veteran Julia Budd. Rothenhausler made her professional MMA debut at Invicta FC IV, defeating Katalina Malungahu by knockout. Rothenhausler looked like a monster in her professional MMA debut and she would look just as dominant as she gets her second straight win.
Headlining this portion of the card is a strawweight division contest as Ashley “Smashley†Cummins (3-1-0) takes on Emily Kagan (2-1-0). Cummins will be looking to rebound from her first professional MMA defeat, which came to Joanne Calderwood at Invicta FC III, Kagan will also be looking to rebound from her first professional MMA defeat, which came against Rose Namajunas at Invicta FC IV. These are two fighters who are looking to get back on track, but it will be Cummins getting back on track by getting a victory.
