This weekend will see the highly anticipated return of the Ultimate Fighting Championships to the Fox Network. The company has put together an amazing card for the event, with a UFC Flyweight Title bout in the feature attraction. The Facebook portion of the preliminary card is well worth checking out, with a longtime UFC veteran in action.
Kicking off the action is a bantamweight division fight as John “Prince†Albert (7-4-0) battles Yaotzin Meza (19-8-0). Albert has won one of four fights under the UFC banner, with the lone victory coming over Dustin Pague at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale. Meza is currently winless in UFC competition, having suffered a defeat to Chad Mendes at UFC On FX VI. This is a must win fight for both competitors to avoid the unemployment line, but it will be Meza avoiding that line as he defeats Albert.
Headlining this portion of the card is a lightweight division fight as Aaron Riley (30-13-1) faces Justin “J-Bomb†Salas (10-4-0). Riley is returning to active competition after an almost two year layoff, last competing at UFC 135 in a losing effort to Tony Ferguson. Salas has split both of his UFC fights, defeating Anton Kuivanen and having suffered a defeat to Tim Means. The long layoff is going to hurt Riley in this fight as it will be Salas picking up the biggest victory of his career.
