The UFC returns to Brazil this Saturday Night with a loaded card featuring a UFC Featherweight Title bout in the main event. The card will not only feature a title fight, but some of Brazils top MMA fighters are competing on the card. There is no exception for the Facebook card either, with one of the best up and coming featherweights in the featured spot.
Kicking off the action is a welterweight division fight as Viscari Andrade (14-5-0) battles Bristol Marunde (12-8-0). Andrade will be making his UFC debut in this fight, but he will do so on the strength of a six fight winning streak. Marunde is currently winless in UFC competition, having dropped a fight to Clint Hester at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale. This is a must win fight for Marunde to remain in the UFC, but he will drop the fight as Andrade makes a successful UFC debut.
Up next is a light heavyweight division fight as Francimar “Badao†Barroso (15-3-0) faces Ednaldo “Lula Molusco†Oliveira (13-1-1-1NC). Barroso will be making his UFC debut in this fight, but he has competed in top promotions like Shooto and Bitetti Combat. Oliveira is currently winless in UFC competition, having dropped a fight to Gabriel Gonzaga at UFC 142. Oliveira did not look that impressive in his UFC debut, but things will turn around now that he is his natural weight class and that will get him his first win in the UFC.
Headlining this portion of the card is a featherweight division fight as Josh “The Gentleman†Clopton (6-1-1) takes on Rani Yahya (18-7-0). Clopton is currently winless in UFC competition, having dropped a fight to Steven Siler at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale. Yahya has won three of four under the UFC banner, with a notable victory over Josh Grispi at UFC On Fox IV. Yahya is quietly becoming a top ten featherweight in the UFC and will get closer as he hands Clopton his second UFC defeat.
