The marathon of UFC events will be coming to a close on Wednesday Night with a potential title shot being given away in the main event. For the second time since the UFC aired on Fox Sports 1, a portion of the preliminary card will be airing on the network. This four fight portion of the preliminary card will be headlined by a key featherweight division encounter.
Kicking off the action is a lightweight division fight as Ivan “Batman†Jorge (24-3-0) competes against “The Polish Connection†Keith Wisniewski (28-14-1). Jorge will be making his UFC debut in this fight, but he does so on the strength of a five fight winning streak. Wisniewski is currently winless in UFC competition, having dropped fights to both Josh Neer and Chris Clements. Wisniewski has not been that impressive in UFC competing and Jorge will add to his woes by winning in his UFC debut.
Welterweights will be stepping into the cage next as Elias Silverio (8-0-0) battles “The Brazilian Samurai†Joao Zeferino (13-5-0). Silverio will be making his UFC debut in this fight and is coming off of a successful four fight run in the Jungle Fight promotion. Zeferino is currently winless in UFC competition, having dropped a fight to Rafael Natal at UFC On FX VIII. Zeferino competed outside of his weight division in his UFC debut, but will look good in his natural weight class and end the undefeated streak of Silverio.
Up next is a lightweight division bout as Ramiro “Junior†Hernandez (13-4-0) takes on Lucas “Mineiro†Martins (13-1-0). Hernandez will be making his UFC debut in this fight, but has previously competed against UFC veterans Michael Johnson and Chris Tickle. Martins has split both of his previously UFC fights, defeating Jeremy Larsen and suffering a defeat to Edson Barboza. Hernandez is a top rated prospect heading into this fight and he will show why by defeating Martins.
Headlining this portion of the card is a featherweight division encounter as Felipe “Sertanejo†Arantes (15-5-1-2NC) faces Edimilson “Kevin†Souza (13-3-0). Arantes has won two of four under the UFC banner, most notably defeating Godofredo Castro at UFC On Fuel TV X. Souza will be making his UFC debut in this fight, but he has previously fought against UFC veteran Marcos Vinicius. In a night filled with UFC debuts, it will be Arantes spoiling the promotional debut of Souza in this one.
