There are five big MMA events in the span of two days, with events ranging from the USA all the way to the country of Wales. The Cage Warriors promotion is putting together a four man tournament for the bantamweight title, with the tournament being spread through the preliminary card and main card. While there are no tournament bouts on the unaired portion of the preliminary card, there are still two bouts worth keeping an eye on.
Kicking off the action is a bantamweight division fight as Brett “Lil’ Ninja†Caswell (2-0-0) battles Paul “The Prodigy†Rogers (1-0-0). Caswell will be making his Cage Warriors debut in this fight and has spent his entire career, up until this point, in the Shock N’ Awe promotion. Rogers made his professional MMA debut earlier this Summer, defeating Lee Russell by way of submission. This is a fight that should have been part of a televised portion of the card, but it will be Caswell staying undefeated in the end.
Headlining this portion of the card is a lightweight division fight as Jordan Desborough (6-2-0) faces Timur Mercanoglu (3-0-0). Desborough will enter the fight riding a two fight winning streak and has fought in the Cage Carnage promotion. Mercanoglu is currently undefeated as a professional MMA fighter and has yet to have a fight go past the second round. Mercanoglu has been destroying people thus far in his short career and he will add another victim to his list.
