Fight Network Delivers Extensive UFC 165 Fight Week Coverage
Toronto – Fight Network, the world’s premier 24/7 television channel dedicated to complete coverage of combat sports, will deliver extensive UFC 165: Jones vs. Gustafsson fight week coverage, including live weigh-ins, press conferences and comprehensive in-studio news coverage, interviews and analysis.
Fight Network will premiere the Zuffa L.L.C.-produced UFC 165 Countdown show on Wednesday, September 18, at 8:30 p.m. ET. The show will profile UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and title challenger Alexander Gustafsson, as well as interim bantamweight champion Renan Barao and No. 1 contender Eddie Wineland.
Fight Network’s weekly news programs 5 Rounds and Fight News Now will be rebranded as a 30-minute 5 Rounds: UFC 165 Edition and a 1-hour Fight News Now: UFC 165 Edition with dedicated coverage of UFC 165, including predictions and exclusive interviews. Fight Network’s coverage will include original interviews on the scene from John Pollock, as well as a roundtable discussion from Fight Network mixed martial arts analysts John Ramdeen and Robin Black along with special guests, including UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman.
In addition, Fight Network will be on the scene for the official media workouts with highlights to air during Fight News Now Extra.
On Friday, September 20, at 4 p.m. ET, Fight Network will present a live broadcast of the official UFC 165 weigh-ins from Maple Leaf Square outside the Air Canada Centre with exclusive interviews on the scene and a roundtable analysis from Fight Network studios.
Additionally, Fight Network will debut an original concept entitled 5 Rounds on the House, which will feature last-minute predictions and comments from various fight and entertainment personalities ahead of Saturday’s pay-per-view. The 1-hour show will debut on Friday, September 20, at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Fight Network will deliver immediate post-fight coverage upon the conclusion of the pay-per-view broadcast on Saturday night with live in-studio analysis and a live broadcast of the official UFC 165 post-fight press conference. The post-fight press conference and roundtable will also repeat overnight and throughout the day on Sunday, September 22.
The September 23 premiere of 5 Rounds at 7 p.m. ET will feature post-fight analysis and recaps from all the major happenings at UFC 165.
