There were three major MMA events this weekend and it will all come to an end on Saturday with the highly anticipated Cage Warriors 60 card. This event will be headlined by the lightweight title tournament finals, with a battle of TUF alumni in the co-main event. Also, a pair of top female MMA prospects will battle and other top international fighters will be competing.
(Note: Due to the fact that the participants in the tournament finals will not be revealed until the semi-final bouts are over, there will be no preview of the finals written.)
Kicking off the action is a featherweight division fight as Arnold “Almighty†Allen (4-0-0) competes against Declan "Kid Dynamite" Williams (8-6-3). Allen is currently undefeated as a professional MMA fighter, with only one of four fights going to a decision. Williams will be making his Cage Warriors debut in this fight, but he will so on the strength of a two fight winning streak. Allen has started off his MMA career in spectacular fashion and he will get his biggest win yet when he defeats Williams.
Women’s bantamweight action is up next as Amanda Kelly (0-0-0) will be seeing action against Hannah Stephens (2-1-0). Kelly will be making her professional MMA debut in this fight, but she does have experience competing as an amateur. Stephens will be looking to rebound from her first professional MMA defeat, which came to LJ Adams at a Fight UK event. This is the first fight for the newly rebuilt Cage Warriors female division and it will be Stephens spoiling the pro debut of Kelly.
A pair of bantamweights will be fighting next as Bryan Creighton (4-1-0) takes on Spencer “The Hurt Locker†Hewitt (10-5-0). Creighton is currently undefeated in Cage Warriors competition, having defeated Mark Connor at Cage Warriors 57. Hewitt has only won one of his last four fights and this fight will mark the fighters Cage Warriors promotional debut. Hewitt is currently on a bad slide at the moment and Creighton will take advantage of it to remain undefeated in the promotion.
Up next is a middleweight division attraction as Leeroy Barnes (12-11-0-1NC) battles Kacper Karski (4-1-0). Barnes has won two of his last three fights, but his last fight was a loss to Bellator veteran Norman Paraisy at Cage Warriors 57. Karski is coming off of a two fight series against Mateusz Ostrowski, where he split those fights against him. Karski is coming into the promotion with a good amount of hype and he will live up to that hype as he defeats the more experienced opponent.
Headlining this card is a welterweight division fight as Bola “Cash Flow†Omoyele (7-1-0) faces Aaron “The Daywalker†Wilkinson (10-6-0). Omoyele is an alumni of the UFC Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes and he is currently undefeated in Cage Warriors competition. Wilkinson has won four of six since his UFC release, which came after a loss to Cody McKenzie at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 12 Finale. This is a good high profile bout for the UK-based promotion, but it will be Omoyele notching the big win.
