When there are four big MMA events in a single week, each promotion has to do their best to grab the attention of the fans. That is something that the Legacy FC promotion is doing, with top prospect Carlos Diego Ferreira in the main event. Also, top bantamweight Ryan Benoit is in action and boxer turned MMA fighter Holly Holm is back in Legacy FC.
Kicking off the action is a lightweight division fight as Damon “Leech†Jackson (6-0-0) competes against Javier Obregon (5-6-0). Jackson will be making his Legacy FC debut in this fight, but he has defeated Zac Church and Keith Miner in Bellator competition. Obregon has only won one of his last four, which includes a loss to Hunter Tucker by submission at Bellator 86. How a mismatch like this is part of the main card is beyond my comprehension, but it will be Jackson remaining undefeated in the end.
A women’s bantamweight division bout is up next as Holly “The Preachers Daughter†Holm (4-0-0) does battle with Nikki “Knuckles†Knudsen (2-1-0). Holm is currently undefeated in Legacy competition, having defeated Allanna Jones at Legacy FC 21. Knudsen has only fought one time in the last four years, last defeating Windy Thorn at Alaska Fighting Championships 96. Holm is a far superior fighter when compared to Knudsen, Holm will dominate to remain undefeated.
Middleweight action is taking place next as Charles Byrd (4-3-0) will be in action against Mike Jasper (7-0-0). Byrd is currently winless in Legacy FC competition, dropping fights to Derrick Krantz and Marcelo Azevedo. Jasper is currently undefeated as a professional MMA fighter and has yet to have a fight go to the judge’s scorecard. Jasper has been dominating far better fighters than he is facing on this night, he will remain undefeated when this one is over.
We move to the bantamweight division for the next fight as Ryan “Baby Face†Benoit (6-2-0) battles Cody Fuller (10-6-0). Benoit is currently undefeated in Legacy FC competition, most notably defeating Joseph Sandoval at Legacy FC 16. Fuller has won three of his last four fights and has previously competed against UFC veteran Tim Elliot. Benoit could find himself fighting for a bigger promotion sooner than you think and he will show why with a win in this one.
Up next is a bantamweight division fight as Henry Cejudo (4-0-0) is taking on Ryan “Riptide†Hollis (4-1-0). Cejudo will be making his Legacy FC debut in this fight, but he has yet to have a fight go past the opening round. Hollis will enter the fight riding a four fight winning streak, which includes a victory over Randy Villareal at a Big Dawg Promotions event. This is a battle between two of the better prospects in all of MMA right now and it will be Hollis ending the undefeated streak of his opponent.
Headlining this card is a lightweight division bout as Carlos Diego Ferreira (7-0-0) faces Chris Feist (8-0-0). Ferreira is coming off of the biggest victory thus far in his MMA career, as he defeated UFC veteran Carlo Prater at Legacy FC 20. Feist is also undefeated as a professional MMA fighter, which includes three straight victories in the C3 Fights promotion. Ferreira is riding a huge wave of momentum after defeated Prater and he will continue his upward trend as he ends the undefeated streak of Feist.
