Following an exciting pay-per-view turned free TV event, Bellator returns with another loaded card this Friday Night. The event will be headlined by a trio of tournament finals in the heavyweight, bantamweight and middleweight divisions. Also, there will be a key lightweight division bout featuring longtime Bellator star Patricky Freire and James Edson Berto.
Kicking off the action is a lightweight division fight as James Edson “Little Tiger†Berto (17-10-1) competes against Patricky “Pitbull†Freire (10-5-0). Berto is currently undefeated in Bellator competition, having defeated Bruno Carvalho at Bellator 94. Freire has only won one of his last five fights and he has not achieved a victory in almost two full years. Berto looked good in his Bellator debut and he will continue to look good as he defeats Freire in this bout.
A season nine middleweight tournament final is up next as Mikkel Parlo (11-1-0) battles Brennan “The Irish Bad Boy†Ward (8-1-0). Parlo earned his position in the tournament finals after defeating the duo of Brian Rogers and Jason Butcher. Ward was able to call himself a tournament finalist after earning victories over both Justin Torrey and Joe Pacheco. These were two fighters that nobody thought would make it to the finals, but it will be Parlo winning the tournament.
Up next is a season nine bantamweight tournament final as Travis “T-Train†Marx (21-4-0-1NC) faces Joe Warren (9-3-0). Marx earned himself a spot in the tournament finals when he got a victory over Brandon Bender at Bellator 100. Warren was able to land a spot in the tournament finals after defeating Nick Kirk by submission at Bellator 101. A lot of folks are badly overlooking Marx in this fight, but Marx will shock the world to defeat Warren and earn a title shot.
Headlining this card is a season nine heavyweight tournament final as Cheick Kongo (19-8-2) takes on Peter “The Chief†Graham (9-5-0). Kongo found himself in the last round of the tournament after defeating Mark Godbeer at Bellator 102. Graham is a tournament alternate after an injury to Vinicius Queiroz, but he is undefeated in Bellator competition. Kongo looked like an absolute beast in his Bellator debut and he will get in “beast mode†once more when he wins the tournament.
