In between events from the Bellator Fighting Championships and Ultimate Fighting Championships will be another card from the Legacy Fighting Championships. The event will be headlined by a lightweight title bout as champion Jorge Patino defends against Carlos Diego Ferreira. The preliminary card, which will just be for those in attendance, will feature four fights with eight up and coming talents.
Kicking off the action is a middleweight division attraction as Angelus McFarlane (0-1-0) competes against Chris Sutton (0-0-0). McFarlane is currently winless as a professional MMA fighter, dropping a fight to Evan Thompson at Legacy FC 19. Sutton will be making his professional MMA debut in this fight, but he did go undefeated while fighting as an amateur. Sutton was destroying fighters as an amateur and that will transition to the pro circuit as he defeats McFarlane.
A pair of welterweights will battle next as Devin Christopherson (0-0-0) takes on Steven Rodriguez (1-1-0). Christopherson will be making his professional MMA debut in this fight, but he does have experience competing as an amateur. Rodriguez will be looking to build off the momentum of his first professional MMA victory, which came over Joshua Sharpless at a Big Dawg Promotions event. Rodriguez looked good in his last fight and he will be picking up his second pro MMA win when he defeats Christopherson.
Up next is a featherweight division fight as Eric Valdez (1-1-0) battles Agrimar “Cyborguinho†Dos Santos (0-0-0). Valdez is looking to rebound from his first professional MMA defeat, which came to Scott Juarez at Legacy FC 21. Dos Santos will be making his professional MMA debut in this fight and he has previously fought as an amateur. There is a decent amount of hype surrounding Dos Santos in his pro debut and he will live up to the hype while earning the victory.
Headlining this portion of the card is a featherweight division fight as Nate “Nate Dog†Garza (4-5-0) faces Jeremy Mahon (3-4-0). Garza is currently winless in Legacy FC competition, with losses coming to Angel Huerta and Cody Williams. Mahon is currently undefeated in Legacy FC competition, having defeated David Armas at Legacy FC IX. Mahon has seen a career resurgence in recent fights and that will continue when he defeats Garza in this one.
