All many weeks of intense action inside of the TUF House, it all culminates with the crowning of two new TUF Champions on Saturday Night. This weekend’s card will make UFC history as there will be the first ever female TUF Champion crowned and this card will feature the most female fights on a single event. The four fight preliminary card will not feature any of the female bouts, but it will feature four great fights with a lot of top MMA prospects.
Kicking off the action is a welterweight division attraction as Drew Dober (13-4-0) competes against Sean “Black Magic†Spencer (10-2-0). Dober will be making his UFC debut in this fight, but he is coming off of a victory over UFC veteran TJ O’Brien. Spencer will be looking to build on the momentum of his first UFC victory, which came over Yuri Villefort at UFC Fight Night 28. Dober is a terrific talent worthy of a shot in the UFC, but being a late replacement is going to affect him and it will be Spencer picking up the win.
Heavyweights will enter the octagon next as Walter Harris (4-1-0) takes on Jared “The Big Show†Rosholt (8-1-0). Harris will make his UFC debut in the strength of a three fight winning streak and he has only had one fight go past the first round. Rosholt will also be making his UFC debut in this fight and he is the brother of UFC veteran Jake Rosholt. Rosholt has a lot of hype around him concerning his UFC debut and he will live up to the hype as he defeats Harris.
Up next is a featherweight division fight as Tom “Stoneface†Niinimaki (20-5-1) battles Rani Yahya (19-7-0). Niinimaki will make his UFC debut riding an eleven fight winning streak, which includes victories over Chase Beebe and Walel Watson. Yahya has won four of five fights under the UFC banner, most notably defeating Mike Brown at UFC Fights For The Troops II. Niinimaki will prove to be a bigger challenge than most think for Yahya, but Yahya will prove to be too much as he notches another victory.
Headlining this portion of the card is a featherweight division fight as Maximo “Maxi†Blanco (9-4-1-1NC) faces Akira Corassani (11-3-0-1NC). Blanco will be looking to build on the momentum of his first UFC victory, which came over Sam Sicilia at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale. Corassani is currently undefeated in UFC competition, with victories over Andy Ogle and Robbie Peralta. The winner of this fight should be moving up to stiffer competition within the division and it will be Corassani getting that victory.
