The MMA gods will be smiling this coming weekend as there are a total of six big time MMA events, ranging from One FC to the UFC to the World Series Of Fighting. The One FC promotion will kick off the festivities with a card being headlined by a featherweight title defense. The preliminary card will be worth checking out as well, with six fighters looking to make an impact in One FC.
Kicking off the action is a featherweight division encounter as Edward “The Rock†Kelly (5-0-0) battles Major “Majee†Overall (4-1-0). Kelly will be making his UFC debut in this fight and he has finished four of five fights in the opening round. Overall is currently winless in One FC competition, having dropped a fight to Kim Hock Quek at One FC III. These are two fighters who are on pretty good rolls entering this fight, but it will be Kelly staying undefeated in the end.
Up next is a flyweight division attraction as Ruel “The Avenger†Catalan (1-4-0) takes on Khim Dima (0-0-0-1NC). Catalan will enter the fight riding a three fight losing streak and he is a veteran of the Legends Fighting Championships promotion. Dima got his MMA career kicked off is auspicious fashion, fighting Rene Catalan to a no contest after illegal strikes at One FC 11. Dima may have got his career off to an odd start, but he will be righting the ship to get the victory over Catalan.
Headlining this portion of the card is a heavyweight division fight as Paul “Typhoon†Cheng (3-1-0) faces Alain “The Panther†Ngalani (1-0-0). Cheng will enter the fight riding a two fight winning streak and he is a veteran of the Aggression Fighting Championships promotion. Ngalani made his professional MMA debut at One FC X, defeating Mahmoud Hassan in a little over thirty seconds of the first round. Ngalani looked like a beast in his victory over Hassan and he will look like a beast once more when he defeats Cheng.
