In a weekend that is filled with six big time MMA events, it is only fitting that it gets kicked off with a huge event from the One FC promotion. This year end event for the promotion will be headlined by a featherweight title bout between Koji Oishi and Honorio Banario. Also, a UFC veteran will be in action and a lot of top One FC competitors will be stepping into the cage again.
Kicking off the action is a flyweight division affair as Geje “Gravity†Eustaquio (4-2-0) competes against Eugene Toquero (4-0-0). Eustaquio has split both of his past One FC appearances, defeating Alex Silva and suffering a defeat to Andrew Leone. Toquero will be making his One FC debut in this fight, having spent his entire career in the Pacific Xtreme Combat promotion. Toquero was dominant in his time with the PXC promotion and his dominance will continue as he makes his One FC debut.
Bantamweights will be stepping into the cage next as Dae Hwan Kim (8-0-1) is in action against Thanh “Aladdin†Vu (3-2-0). Kim will be making his One FC debut and the fighter has yet to have any of his fights go past the second round. Vu has split his past One FC appearances, defeating Mohd Fouzein and suffering a defeat to Kevin Belingon. Kim has beaten far superior fighters than Vu and that past experience will show when he handily defeats Vu here.
A pair of lightweight competitors will square off next as Vuyisile “The Cheetah†Colossa (6-4-0) does battle against Caros “The Future†Fodor (8-3-0). Colossa has only won one of his last three fights, with that lone win coming over Kotetsu Boku at One FC X. Fodor has been undefeated since his UFC release, which came after a loss to Sam Stout at UFC 157 in February 2013. Fodor is quickly rising up the ranks in One FC and he will rise a little higher when he hands Colossa a loss.
More lightweight division action is up next as Eduard “Landslide†Folayang (12-4-0) battles Vincent Latoel (14-13-2). Folayang has only won one of his last four bouts, with that lone victory coming over Felipe Enomoto at One FC V. Latoel is currently undefeated in One FC competition, having defeated Willy Ni by submission at One FC X. Folayang has been on a bad stretch as of late, but he will rebound when he defeats Latoel to get his career back on track.
Up next is a bantamweight division encounter as Kevin “The Silencer†Belingon (11-3-0) faces David Aranda Santacana (9-0-0). Belingon has won two of five fights under the One FC banner, most notably defeating Yusup Saadulaev at One FC VI. Santacana will be making his One FC debut in this fight and he is the current On Top MMA Bantamweight Champion. Santacana is on the verge of a breakout year in MMA and that will start this Friday Morning when he defeats Belingon.
Headlining this card is a One FC Featherweight Title bout as champion Koji Oishi (24-9-10) defends against Honorio “The Rock†Banario (8-2-0). Oioshi won the initial battle and the championship when he defeated Banario by second round knockout at One FC IX. Banario has yet to compete since that loss, but he did win two straight prior to the aforementioned defeat. Oishi and Babario have not had any cage time since the first meeting, but Oishi was the better fighter the first time and will be again as he retains the championship.
