The Cage Warriors promotion, much like the UFC, has gone into overdrive in December with three events taking place this month. The first one of the bunch could wind up being the best, with Neil Seery defending the flyweight belt against UFC veteran Ulysses Gomez is the main event. Unfortunately, there are a few fights on this card that will not be seen by anyone other than those in attendance, but they are still worth noting either way.
Kicking off the action is a lightweight division encounter as Paul Gregson (3-1-0) battles Frankie Slater (2-1-0). Gregson will be making his Cage Warriors debut in this bout and he has yet to have a fight go past the opening round. Slater will be looking to rebound from his first professional MMA defeat, which came to Jeremy Petley at BAMMA V. These are two fighters who are known for their finishing abilities and it will be Gregson getting another quick finish to get the victory.
Headlining this portion of the card is a flyweight division affair as “Thee†Mark Connor (8-9-1) faces Shajidul “Shaj†Hague (3-1-0). Connor has won two of three under the Cage Warriors banner, but is looking to rebound from a loss to Bryan Creighton. Hague will be looking to rebound from his first professional MMA defeat, which came to Paul Marin at Cage Warriors Fight Night IX. Connor is the most experienced fight that Hague has ever faced, but Hague will overcome that disadvantage to get the win.
