UFC ULTIMATE FIGHTER CHINA FINALE PRELIMINARY CARD PREVIEW

By David Tees on 2/26/2014 11:23 AM

The historic first season of the UFC Ultimate Fighter China is upon us and despite losing one of the tournament finals, this is still a card worth checking out. The event will be headlined by a big welterweight division battle as Dong Hyun Kim battles John Hathaway. The preliminary card is stacked with four fights as well, with top prospect Zak Cummings in a featured fight.

Kicking off the action is a featherweight division bout as Mark Eddiva (5-0-0) competes against Jumabieke “The Wild Wolf” Tuerxon (14-0-0). Eddiva will be making his UFC debut in this fight and he has only had one career fight go past the opening round. Tuerxon will also be making his UFC debut in this fight and he is a longtime veteran of the Ranik Ultimate Fighting Federation. These are two competitors known for their finishing abilities, but it will be Tuerxon remaining undefeated in the end.

Lightweight division action is up next as Albert Cheng (2-2-0) stands across the cage from Anying Wang (1-0-0). Cheng will enter the fight riding a two fight losing streak and he has not won a fight in well over three years. Wang made his professional MMA debut in May 2013, defeating Jeff Huang by TKO at a RUFF IX event. This fight has no place on any UFC card, but since it is, it will be Wang remaining undefeated in the end.

Up next is a middleweight division attraction as Zak Cummings (16-3-0) will be battling Alberto Mina (10-0-0). Cummings is currently undefeated in UFC competition, having defeated Ben Alloway at UFC Fight Night 27. Mina will be making his UFC debut in this fight and he has yet to have any of his fights go to the judge’s scorecard. This is a much bigger bout than its place on the card suggests, but it will be Cummings winning his second straight UFC bout.

Headlining this portion of the card is a lightweight division fight as Yui Chul “The Korean Bulldozer” Nam (17-4-1) faces Kazuki Tokudome (12-4-1). Nam will make his UFC debut riding a four fight winning streak and he has previously defeated UFC veteran Hacran Dias. Tokudome has split both of his previous UFC bouts, defeating Cristiano Marcello and suffering a defeat to Norman Parke. This is a great way to cap off the preliminary card, but it will be Tokudome coming out with a win in the end.
