Capping off another big weekend of MMA action will be another loaded card from the World Series Of Fighting. The event will be headlined by a pair of title bouts in the welterweight and bantamweight divisions respectively. There is a stacked six fight preliminary card as well, with UFC veteran John Gunderson in a featured fight.
Kicking off the action is a lightweight division attraction as Gil Guardado (2-0-0) competes against Jimmy Spicuzza (2-0-0). Guardado will be making his WSOF debut in this fight and none of his fights have gone past the second round. Spicuzza will also be making his WSOF debut in this bout, last defeating Dionisio Ramirez at a Millennium Events MMA show. It is always exciting to have a battle of the undefeated on the card, but it will be Guardado staying undefeated in the end.
A welterweight division battle is next as “Filthy†Phil Dace (9-4-0) does battle against Danny “Dee 1†Davis Jr. (8-8-1). Dace has won just one of his last three fights, with that lone win coming over Jesus Martinez at Xtreme Fighters II. Davis Jr. will enter the fight riding a two fight winning streak, plus he has fought UFC veterans Brandon Thatch, Jamie Yager and Quinn Mulhern. Davis Jr, has fought far better competition when compared to Dace and he will pull the upset when he defeats Dace.
We move to the featherweight division for the next bout as Brenson Hansen (5-2-0) is in action against Boostayre “Built†Nefarios (2-1-0). Hansen has won two of three fights under the WSOF banner, with his lone loss coming to veteran Freddy Assuncao. Nefarios will be looking to rebound from his first professional MMA defeat, which came to Dustin Chevalier at Crown Fighting Championships VIII. Hansen is quickly becoming a top prospect in the WSOF and he will continue his rise when he defeats Nefarios in this one.
More featherweight division action is taking place next as Chris “Gritz†Gruetzemacher (11-1-0) battles John “Guns†Gunderson (34-15-2). Gruetzemacher will enter the bout riding a ten fight winning streak, but he has not competed in almost two years. Gunderson has won four of his last eight fights since his UFC release, which came after a loss to Yves Edwards at UFC Fight Night 22. Gunderson will take advantage of the inactivity Gruetzemacher has had in his MMA career to get a victory.
Up next is a bantamweight division affair as Sean Cantor (1-0-0) stands across the cage from Bryson Hansen (6-1-0). Cantor made his professional MMA debut almost two years ago, defeating Jose Acuna at a Millennium Events MMA show. Hansen will be making his WSOF debut in this bout and he is a longtime veteran of the X-1 MMA promotion. This bout almost seems like it was set up for an easy Hansen victory, which is exactly what is going to happen.
Headlining this portion of the card is a featherweight division bout as Mike Corey (12-3-1) faces Shane Kruchten (11-2-0). Corey is coming off of a three fight run in Bellator, where he only walked away with a single victory. Kruchten will enter the fight riding an eleven fight winning streak and he has not lost a bout in almost seven years. Kruchten is on an incredible winning streak right now and he will be adding to the streak when he defeats Corey.
