The first of two separate UFC events takes place on Wednesday Night with the UFC Ultimate Fighter Nations Finale. The first of these two events will be headlined by a key middleweight division bout as Michael Bisping faces Tim Kennedy. As part of the Fox Sports 1 portion of the preliminary card, KJ Noons faces Sam Stout in a slugfest and there is a rematch between Sarah Kaufman and Leslie Smith.
Kicking off the action is a bantamweight division attraction as Dustin “The Diamond†Kimura (11-1-0) competes against George Roop (14-10-1). Kimura has won two of three under the UFC banner, last defeating Jon Delos Reyes at UFC Fight Night 34. Roop has won two of his last three under the UFC banner, but he will be looking to rebound from a loss to Francisco Rivera at UFC Fights For The Troops III. Roop has barely managed to survive as an employee of the UFC, but his luck will run out for good on Wednesday Night as Kimura gets his third UFC win.
A light heavyweight division attraction is next as Ryan “Big Deal†Jimmo (18-3-0) battles Sean O'Connell (15-4-0). Jimmo has rotated wins and losses throughout his UFC run, with his last fight being a loss to Jimi Manuwa at UFC Fight Night 30. O'Connell will be making his UFC debut in this fight and has previously defeated UFC veteran Marvin Eastman. Jimmo has been very inconsistent during his time in the UFC and that is going to hurt him as O'Connell defeats him to pull the upset.
Up next is a women's bantamweight division bout as Sarah Kaufman (16-2-0-1NC) takes on Leslie “The Peacemaker†Smith (6-4-1). Kaufman won the first meeting between the two by a controversial split decision at Ivicta FC V in April 2013. Smith will be making her UFC debut in this fight and she has spent the majority of her career in the Invicta FC promotion. This bout should be just as or more exciting than the first meeting, but it will be Kaufman walking away with a second win.
Headlining this portion of the card is a lightweight division fight as “King†KJ Noons (12-7-0) faces Sam “Hands Of Stone†Stout (20-9-1). Noons has only won two of his last seven, with his last fight being a win over George Sotiropoulos at UFC 166. Stout has rotated wins and losses in his last seven UFC appearances, with his last fight being a win over Cody McKenzie at UFC On Fox IX. Noons is not the same fighter who once toppled Nick Diaz and Stout is still finding ways to improve, Stout will get his second straight win when this one is over.
