With one event before Bellator's second attempt at their historical first pay-per-view, Bellator 119 brings us an entertaining card this Friday Night. The event will be headlined by a lightweight tournament finals as Desmond Green faces Daniel Weichel. There is a six fight preliminary card as well, with a pair of UFC veterans and longtime Bellator vet Brian Rogers in action.
Kicking off the action is a lightweight division fight as Behrang “B-Tang†Yousefi (5-4-0) competes against Chad Freeman (8-5-0). Yousefi will enter the fight riding a three fight losing streak and he is a veteran of the King Of The Cage promotion. Freeman has only won one of his last three bouts and he has yet to have any of his pro fights go to a decision. This is a must win fight for both competitors in this one, but it will be Freeman leaving with a win in the end.
A pair of bantamweights will collide next as Chris Kelades (6-0-0) is in action against Malcolm Gordon (4-0-0). Kelades will be making his Bellator debut and he has yet to have a fight go to the judge's scorecard. Gordon will also be making his Bellator debut in this fight and he is a veteran of the Score Fighting Series promotion. This is an interesting battle of the undefeated on this card, but it will be Kelades keeping his undefeated streak alive when this one is over.
More lightweight division action is up next as Jason Meisel (4-3-0) does battle against Remy “The Titan†Bussieres (3-0-0). Meisel is a longtime veteran of the Score Fighting Series, winning four of his five fights in the promotion. Bussieres has already competed once in Bellator, which was a victory over Blake Pool by decision at Bellator 103. Bussieres has looked very good at this stage in his career and he will continue to look good as he defeats Meisel.
The heavyweight division will be featured next as Stuart Austin (7-0-0) battles Craig “Wardog†Hudson (3-0-0). Austin will be making his Bellator debut in this fight and he is a veteran of the Ultimate Impact MMA promotion. Hudson will enter the fight riding a two fight winning streak and he has previously fought UFC veteran Tim Hague. Neither fighters has been very active in the last six months, but it will be Austin returning to competition with a victory.
Up next is a middleweight division affair as Brian “The Professional Predator†Rogers (10-6-0) takes on Adrian Miles (14-5-0). Rogers has competed in three separate tournaments in Bellator, but has never gotten past the semi-finals. Miles will enter the fight riding a seven fight winning streak and he has not lost a fight in almost three years. Rogers best days as a fighter are behind him and it will be Miles defeating him to get the biggest win of his career.
Headlining this portion of the card is a lightweight division bout as Eric “Little Lee†Wisely (22-8-0) faces John “The Natural†Alessio (34-17-0-1NC). Wisely is a UFC veteran who has been undefeated since his UFC release, which came after a loss to Jason Young at UFC On Fuel TV II. Alessio is a UFC veteran who competed in the season nine lightweight tournament, losing to Will Brooks in the opening round. The winner of this should be assured a spot in a future lightweight tournament and it will be Wisely getting the win to get a future spot.
