When the Cage Warriors promotion decides to put on its biggest event of the year, it does so with two separate main cards. The first of the two main cards will be headlined by a bout for the vacant Cage Warriors Middleweight Title as Norman Paraisy faces Jack Hermansson. Also, UFC veteran Rosi Sexton returns to action and plenty of top international prospects will compete.
Kicking off the action is a lightweight division fight as Jason “The Animal†Cooledge (10-6-0) competes against Brad “The Crazy Kid†Wheeler (12-9-0). Cooledge is currently winless under the Cage Warriors banner and he will be returning to the promotion after a year absence. Wheeler has won four of five fights in his second Cage Warriors run, last defeating David Howell at Cage Warriors 64. Wheeler has improved vastly since his first run in Cage Warriors and his good run will continue as he defeats Cooledge.
A pair of featherweights will clash next as Suleiman Bouhata (9-4-0) is in action against Graham “Afterburner†Turner (23-8-0). Bouhata will be making his Cage Warriors debut in this bout, but he is a veteran of the 100% Fight MMA promotion. Turner will be competing for the first time since losing a featherweight title fight to UFC veteran Jim Alers at Cage Warriors 63. Turner is looking to get right back into title contention and he will as he spoils the promotional debut of Bouhata.
More featherweight action is happening next as “Almighty†Arnold Allen (7-0-0) does battle against Marcin “The Polish Zombie†Wrzosek (7-2-0). Allen has already won five bouts in Cage Warriors competition, last defeating Tobias Huber at Cage Warriors Fight Night 11. Wrzosek is currently winless in Cage Warriors competition, having lost to Chris Fishgold at Cage Warriors 57. Allen is quickly becoming a top contender in the featherweight division and his rise will continue as he defeats Wrzosek.
Another lightweight division bout is next as Damien “Beatdown†Brown (10-6-0) battles Tim “The Experiment†Wilde (4-0-0). Brown has only won one of his last four fights and he is currently winless in Cage Warriors competition. Wilde will be making his Cage Warriors debut in this fight and he is a veteran of the BAMMA promotion. There is a lot of hype surrounding Wilde and he will live up to the hype when he hands Brown his next defeat.
Up next is a women's bantamweight division bout as Joanna Jedrzejczyk (5-0-0) takes on Rosi “The Surgeon†Sexton (13-4-0). Jedrzejczyk will be making her Cage Warriors debut in this fight, but she has previously defeated Cage Warriors veteran Karla Benitez. Sexton will be competing for the first time since her UFC release, which came after a loss to Jessica Andrade at UFC Fight Night: Machida vs. Munoz. Sexton's best days as a competitor are behind her at this point and it will be Jedrzejczyk pulling the upset in this one.
Headlining this portion of the card is a bout for the vacant CWFC Middleweight Title as Jack “The Joker†Hermansson (7-2-0) faces Norman Paraisy (14-3-2-1NC). Hermansson is currently undefeated in Cage Warriors competition, last defeating Ion Pascu at Cage Warriors Fight Night 11. Paraisy is also undefeated under the Cage Warriors banner, most notably defeating Jack Mason at Cage Warriors 43. These are two fighters who absolutely deserve a shot to become champion, but it will be Paraisy leaving with the gold.
