LEGACY FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIPS 32 MAIN CARD PREVIEW

By David Tees on 6/18/2014 9:43 PM

The Legacy Fighting Championships is quickly becoming one of the best promotions for all MMA fans to keep an eye on. Legacy Fighting Championships 32 will be headlined by a bout for the vacant Legacy FC Bantamweight Title as Thomas Almeida faces Caio Machado. Also, Kyle Bradley faces Derrick Krantz and several top prospects will be stepping into the cage as well.

Kicking off the action is a bantamweight division bout as Chris “C-Lo” Pham (3-1-0) competes against Tony Kelley (1-0-0). Pham is returning to competition after being away for well over a year and he is a veteran of Bellator competition. Kelley is returning to action after a very long layoff as well, last defeating Sean Marsicane at a 2012 Coalition Of Combat event. These are two competitors who are returning from extended layoffs, but it will be Pham making a successful return to competition.

A pair of welterweights will collide next as Geoff Neal (3-1-0) will be doing battle against Allen Smith (1-0-0). Neal is returning to action after being away for nearly a year and he is a veteran of the Xtreme Knockout promotion. Smith is also making a return to competition after being away for more than a year, last defeating Alex Book at a Hilia Fights event. This is another set of competitors who are returning after a long layoff, but it will be Neal getting a win in his return to action.

The middleweight division will be featured next as Quentin “The Hero” Henry (7-2-0) is in action against Nicholas “Action” Jackson (2-0-0). Henry will be entering the fight on a two fight winning streak and none of his professional MMA bouts have gone past the opening round. Jackson already holds a victory over Henry, but it was an amateur bout from a 2010 Ring Rulers MMA event. Henry has improved vastly since his days as an amateur and he will get revenge as he defeats Jackson.

Flyweight division action will be happening next as Klayton Mai (5-1-0) battles Matt “Danger” Schnell (2-1-0). Mai will be looking to rebound from his first professional MMA defeat, which came to Matthew Lozano at Legacy FC 24. Schnell has spent his entire career in Legacy FC and he is also looking to rebound from his first pro MMA defeat. These are two of the better up and coming flyweights in MMA right now, but it will be Mai getting the victory.

Up next is a welterweight division attraction as Kyle Bradley (18-9-0-1NC) takes on Derrick “D-Rock” Krantz (14-8-0). Bradley is a veteran of UFC competition and this will be his return to action after being away for a year. Krantz has won two of four fights under the Legacy FC banner, most notably defeating Charles Byrd at Legacy FC 16. This fight is easily worthy of main event status, but it will be the UFC veteran in Bradley pulling out the win.

Headlining this card is a bout for the vacant Legacy FC Bantamweight Title as Thomas “Thominhas” Almeida (16-0-0) faces Caio Machado (4-0-0). Almeida has already won two bouts in Legacy FC and he is the current MMA Super Heroes Bantamweight Champion. Machado made his promotional debut back at Legacy FC 27, where he defeated Domingo Pilarte by decision. Almeida has a huge experience over Machado and that experience will garner him another championship.
