This coming Saturday's World Series Of Fighting 11 card can easily be considered the biggest event in the promotions history, as they will be making their debut on NBC. The event is going to be headlined by a WSOF Lightweight Title bout as Justin Gaethje defends against Nick Newell. There are five fights on the preliminary card, which will feature a pair of Gracie's and a UFC veteran in action.
Kicking off the action is a light heavyweight division bout as Kendrick “Big Problem†Miree (5-1-0) competes against Jakeâ€The Honey Bear†Heun (5-3-0). Miree is currently winless in WSOF competition, having dropped a fight to Krasimir Mladenov at WSOF III. Heun will be making his WSOF debut in this fight and he has not competed in just over a full year. Miree may not have been in top form in his WSOF debut, but he will rebound to defeat Heun and get his first promotional win.
A pair of middleweights will clash next as Neiman Gracie (1-0-0) does battle against Dustin Holyko (2-0-0). Gracie made his professional MMA debut at the WSOF V, which is where he defeated Darren Costa by submission. Holyko will be making his WSOF debut in this bout and he has yet to have a bout go to the judge's scorecard. The Gracie's have had their up and down's thus far in the WSOF, but this will be an up night for them as Gracie remains undefeated.
Featherweight division action will be happening next as Alexandre “Pulma†Pimentel (13-1-0) battles Jerrod Sanders (14-1-0). Pimentel will be looking to build on the momentum of his first WSOF victory, which came over Jade Porter at the WSOF VI. Sanders will enter the fight on a twelve fight winning streak, which includes a win over Jeff Smith at the WSOF III. This fight is worthy of a position on the main card, but it will be Sanders will his thirteenth fight in a row.
Up next is a welterweight division bout as Gregor Gracie (7-4-0) will be taking on Maurice Salmon (3-2-0). Gracie is currently winless in WSOF competition, having dropped fights to Richard Patishnock and Tyson Steele. Salmon will be returning to action after a two year layoff and he is a veteran of the Art Of Fighting promotion. It seems like the WSOF is just handing Gracie a victory in this one as Gracie will coast by Salmon to get his first promotional victory.
Headlining this portion of the card is a lightweight division bout as Luis “Baboon†Palomino (22-9-0) faces TJ “The Spider†O'Brien (20-7-0). Palomino is currently undefeated in WSOF competition, having defeated Jorge Patino by KO at the WSOF VIII. O'Brien is a veteran of the UFC and he is winless under the WSOF banner, having lost to Gesias Cavalcante at the WSOF I. Palomino has been on the verge of becoming a breakout fighter in the WSOF and he will move up to the next level as he defeats the UFC veteran.
