Thiago Alves has suffered a knee injury and he is off the UFC Fight Night 49 card, replacing him against Jordan Mein is Brandon Thatch. Mein has won two of three fights during his UFC run, last defeating Hernani Perpetuo at UFC On Fox 11. Thatch is currently undefeated in UFC competition, most notably defeating Paulo Thiago at UFC Fight Night: Belfort vs. Henderson. UFC Fight Night 49 takes place on August 23rd from the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma with Ben Henderson and Rafael Dos Anjos headlining.
