Sandwiched in between a pair of events from the UFC is another stellar card from the Legacy Fighting Championships. The event will be headlined by a featherweight title bout as UFC veteran Leonard Garcia defends the gold against Damon Jackson. There are five fights on the preliminary card and they will feature ten MMA prospects looking to break out to a bigger stage.
Kicking off the action is a welterweight division attraction as Eugene Davis (1-0-0) competes against Kevin Holland (0-0-0). Davis made his professional MMA debut at Xtreme Knockout 21 earlier this year, defeating Ramon Jackson by decision. Holland will be making his professional MMA debut in this bout, but he did go undefeated as an amateur. This fight may very well set the pace for both fighters in their pro careers, but it will be Davis spoiling the pro debut of Holland.
The flyweight division is going to be featured next as Robert Ricks (0-0-0) is in action against Keeton Gorton (0-0-0). Ricks will be making his professional MMA debut in this bout and he has no amateur experience to speak of. Gorton will also be making his professional MMA debut in this fight, but he did go undefeated as an amateur. Gorton has more amateur experience when compared to Ricks and that experience will help get make a successful pro debut.
A pair of middleweights are set to collide next as Jason Perrotta (1-0-0) will be battling Logan Nail (1-0-0). Perrotta made his professional MMA debut back at Legacy FC 28, which is where he defeated Bobby Moore by TKO. Nail made his professional MMA debut at the very same event, with his win coming over Derek Perkins by TKO. These are two equally matched competitors heading into this one, but it will be Nail leaving undefeated.
Up next is a bantamweight division affair as Triston Grimsley (4-4-0) takes on George “Constantine†Pacurariu (6-3-0). Grimsley has won two of his last three heading into his Legacy FC debut and he has yet to have a fight go to the judge's scorecard. Pacurariu has won just one of three fights under the Legacy FC banner, but he has not won a bout in well over a year. Pacurariu was once seen as a top prospect in Legacy FC prior to his recent stumbles, but he will rebound to defeat Grimsley.
Headlining this portion of the card is a lightweight division bout as Darius “The Wildman†Yancy (3-3-0) faces Brad Mitchell (3-1-0-1NC). Yancy has only won one of his last four bouts, with that lone win coming over Jacob Capelli at Xtreme Knockout 20. Mitchell is currently undefeated in Legacy FC competition, having defeated David Armas at Legacy FC 19. Mitchell is quickly becoming a fighter to watch in Legacy FC and he will build on his aura as he defeats Yancy.
