Sandwiched between events from both Bellator and the UFC will be another stellar card from the Resurrection Fighting Alliance. The event will be headlined by a bout for the vacant RFA Heavyweight Title as Josh Copeland faces Jan Jorgensen. There are only a pair of fights on the preliminary card, which will feature one fighter making his pro MMA debut.
Kicking off the action is a lightweight division bout as Mitch “Da Machine†Peterson (1-1-0) battles Darrell Flores (3-2-0). Peterson will be looking to rebound from his first pro MMA defeat, which came to James McCall at a Fight To Win MMA event. Flores will be returning to action after a year away from competition and he is a veteran of the Rage In The Cage promotion. This is a must win scenario for both competitors at this stage of their careers, but it will be Peterson getting that win.
Headlining this portion of the card is a featherweight division affair as Danny Mainus (2-2-0) faces Ian Connelly (0-0-0). Mainus is currently winless under the RFA banner, last losing to Scott Ingram by decision at RFA 11. Connelly will be making his professional MMA debut in this bout, but he did win two of three fights as an amateur. Connelly had a stellar run during his time as an amateur and he will be starting off his pro career with a stellar victory.
