A pair of title fights as Nicolas Dalby defends the welterweight title against Gael Grimaud and Cory Tait faces Toni Tauru for the vacant bantamweight title. Dalby will be making the first defense of his championship, which he won by defeating Sergei Churilov at Cage Warriors 66. Grimaud has won three of four fights in Cage Warriors and he has fought UFC veteran Cathal Pendred in the promotion.
Tait is currently undefeated under the Cage Warriors banner, last defeating James Pennington at Cage Warriors 64. Tauru will enter the fight riding a nine fight winning streak and he ha snot lost a bout in almost three years. Cage Warriors 72 takes place on September 13th from the Newport Centre in Newport, Wales with Nicolas Dalby and Gael Grimaud headlining.
