Damien Maia has suffered an injury and he is off the UFC Fight Night 49 card, replacing him against Mike Pyle will be Jordan Mein. Pyle has won five of his last six fights under the UFC banner, most notably defeating Rick Story at UFC 160. Mein was already set to compete at this same event against Brandon Thatch, but Thatch got injured and Mein has now been paired with Pyle. UFC Fight Night 49 takes place on August 23rd from the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma with Ben Henderson and Rafael Dos Anjos headlining.
