After an extended absence due to the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Cage Warriors is returning to action with a stellar card. The event is going to be headlined by a key lightweight division bout as Joseph Duffy battles Damien Lapilus. There are only two fights on the unaired portion of the preliminary card, with a pair of top women's MMA prospects in action.
Kicking off the action is a featherweight division attraction as Dean Garnett (6-0-0) battles Martin “The Silencer†Sheridan (7-5-0). Garnett has already competed once under the Cage Warriors banner, having defeated John Cullen at Cage Warriors 68. Sheridan will be looking to rebound from his first Cage Warriors defeat, which came to Paddy Plimbett at Cage Warriors 65. Garnett is starting to establish himself as a prospect to watch and he will show why when he defeats Sheridan.
Headlining this portion of the card is a women's atomweight division bout as Catherine “The Alpha Female†Costigan (4-0-0) faces Noelia “The Nurse†Molina (0-1-0). Costigan has already fought twice under the Cage Warriors banner, last defeating Irene Cabello at Cage Warriors 65. Molina is returning to action after a two year absence, but her lone bout was against UFC veteran Joanne Calderwood. Molina is badly outmatched in this one and it will be Costigan dominating her to stay undefeated.
