Capping off a busy Friday Night of MMA action will be Titan Fighting Championships 30, which is the promotions third card to air on CBS Sports. This event will be headlined by a bout for the vacant light heavyweight title as Vinny Magalhaes faces Jason Brilz. There are three fights on the untelevised portion of the preliminary card and they will feature some MMA prospects in action.
Kicking off the action is a lightweight division affair as Phillip Platt (1-0-0) will be battling Julian Shore (3-2-0). Platt made his professional MMA debut earlier this year, defeating Emmanuel Yambir by TKO at an Oscar Night MMA event. Shore will be entering this fight riding a two fight winning streak, but he has not competed in well over a year. The long layoff is going to affect Shore in a negative way here and it will be Platt staying undefeated in the end.
Up next is a featherweight division bout as Eric Hendon (0-0-0) steps into the cage against Kevin Troyer (1-0-0). Hendon will be making his professional MMA debut in this fight, but it has been two years since he last competed as an amateur. Troyer is coming off of a win at Legacy Fighting Championships 26, where he defeated David Siller by decision. Troyer may not have much of an experience edge, but he has been more active to Hendon and that activity will help him stay undefeated in the end.
Headlining this portion of the card is a featherweight division contest as Charles Adkinson (0-0-0) faces Matt “The Menace†Mazurek (2-3-0). Adkinson will be making his professional MMA debut in this fight, despite going winless as an amateur fighter. Mazurek will enter the fight on a two fight losing streak and he has fought twice in the Legacy Fighting Championships. Adkinson should have competed more as an amateur before turning pro and that will be proven as Mazurek gets the much needed win.
