There is a UFC double header coming to use this weekend and concluding all of the UFC action will be the UFC Fight Night 54 card. The event will be headlined by a huge welterweight division bout as Rory MacDonald faces Tarec Saffiedine. There are only two fights on the UFC Fight Pass portion of the preliminary card, with a former RFA champion in action.
Kicking off the action is a featherweight division attraction as Pedro “The Young Punisher†Munhoz (11-1-0) battles Jerrod “J-Reazie†Sanders (14-2-0). Munhoz is a former RFA Bantamweight Champion and he is looking to build on the momentum of his first UFC win, which came over Matt Hobar at the UFC Ultimate Fighter Brazil III Finale. Sanders is currently winless under the UFC banner, having dropped a fight to Yosdenis Cedeno at UFC Fight Night: Cerrone vs. Miller. Munhoz has already fought some of the best the UFC has to offer and he will use that experience to defeat Sanders to get his second UFC win.
Headlining this portion of the card is a welterweight division bout as Matt Dwyer (7-1-0) faces Albert “Einstein†Tumenov (13-2-0). Dwyer will be making his UFC debut in this fight, but he holds victories over UFC veterans DaMarques Johnson and Shonie Carter. Tumenov will be looking to build on the momentum of his first UFC win, which came over Anthony Lapsley at UFC Fight Night: Brown vs. Silva. Dwyer is riding a hot streak after defeating two UFC veterans in a row and he will start his UFC run off with a victory as he defeats Tumenov.
