The first MMA event of November will be a huge one as Cage Warriors 73 marks the second super show for the UK based promotion this year. The two main cards will be headlined by a pair of title bouts in both the lightweight and featherweight divisions. There are only a pair of fights on the preliminary card, but they will feature some top MMA prospects looking to make an impact.
Kicking off the action is a women’s atomweight division bout as Irene “La Nina†Cabello (1-2-0) battles Vanessa Reinsch (0-0-0). Cabello is currently winless in Cage Warriors competition, having dropped a fight to Catherine Costigan at Cage Warriors 65. Reinsch will be making her professional MMA debut in this fight and her last bout as an amateur came over three years ago. Reinsch has not stepped into the cage in a long time and that is going to hurt her in this one as Cabello picks up the much needed win.
Headlining this portion of the card is a lightweight division bout as Michael Abbott (0-0-0) faces Paul Gregson (3-1-0). Abbott will be making his professional MMA debut in this fight and he did win three of four as an amateur. Gregson will be returning to action after a year layoff and he is a veteran of the Eiko MMA promotion out of England. Gregson has done quite well for himself at this stage in his career and he will make a successful Cage Warriors debut when he defeats Abbott.
